Description
Kodak Pocket Kodak No 1a Series ll - 130 mm Anastigmatic 7.7 Lens, in a Diomatic Shutter Focusing Model I am selling my Kodak collection which I have had for a long time. In this listing we have an excellent Pocket Kodak No.1a Series ll Focusing Model. The camera is near perfect, no dents, scratches, loose leather. There is some wear to the leather, especially on one of the long edges where your arm would touch the camera as one operated the shutter. This is shown in the first photo. It is not near as worn as it appears in the photos. To the naked eye it looks like it is not worn at all. One problem with good lighting and a good lens. But you do see what you are getting. The chrome has some minor corrosion. The bellows look good, though we are not going to use this camera, are we. There is some corrosion where the back mounts and locks, from different metals coming together I expect. Not much. The lens is a 130mm Anastigmatic 7.7 Lens, in a Diomatic Shutter which was a step up from the basic lens and shutter. Did I mention it is the focusing model. There is finish loss on the lens controls, on the face. This is the camera’s big defect. The aperture is adjustable from f7.7 to f45 and focuses from 6 feet to 100 feet, which I would take to be infinity. All works as it should seemingly. It is an autograph model and it has the stylus. It comes with half of it’s original box. The inner one. These cameras apparently came with an inner and outer sleeve boxing scheme . The example offered here is most likely one of the best that will be found. Better examples exist I am sure, but this is one of the better ones. Do I talk it up too much? Well, I am not asking so much for it. It comes with a near mint manual and a instruction sheet for the Diomatic Shutter, plus what I assume to be the end flap, most of it anyway, from the original box. Thanks for looking, and reading.
