Antique Selb Bavaria Rosenthal Dresden Flowers Dinner plate ( 11 available) PRICE IS FOR All 11 Plates These plates were produced by Rosenthal in Selb, Bavaria Size: 10 inches in diameter Description Price is for Eleven plates - 11 elegant porcelain dinner plates measuring 10" wide each are lovely. Each Plate has a pretty design over a white finish, and attractive gold embellishments, effectively used for highlighted accents on the outside rim The pattern of Dresden Flowers has pink, purple, blue, orange and yellow flowers on white porcelain with a gold scalloped designed of gold tracery and trim . The grouping of colorful summer flower motiffs are in striking shades of rose, orange, lavender and yellow with shaded green foliage. There are at least five different arrangements of summer flowers of various types in a multitude of colors. Maker: The antique elegant porcelain dinner plate measures 10" wide. This set was produced by Rosenthal Selb Germany in a beautiful Dresden Flowers pattern and Gold Decorated with a Beaded Swag Drapery design with Tassles and Scrolls. The plate is marked as shown with the Green Rosenthal trademark and a crown symbol. And also with the painted number 85. Founded in 1889 in Selb Bavaria by Phillip Rosenthal, the company is still in existence today producing high quality dinnerware and beautiful figurines. According to Judith Miller in her Buyer’s Guide to Ceramic states "Rosenthal work is relatively underrated; it is probably the nearest equivalent to Meissen but is far more affordable." Incredible bargains for collectors as well as for anyone else looking to enrich their home with beautiful artwork. Date: They were from my Family Collection and packed away for over 50 years. The age is circa 1930 . The green Rosenthal mark with"Selb Bavaria" below was used from circa 1920 - 1936. Condition: The dinner plates are in very good condition. No flaws, no chips, no cracks and no repairs. . It may have some minor wear of gold on outer edge, otherwise in excellent condition.They have been packed away for over 50 years , and when used they were only washed by hand, so the paint is lovely. The plates are vivid and colorful with no fading or color loss, they show very little visible wear from use.
