Description

Description : The item up for bids is a set of five fabulous mid-century modern fish form pin dishes by Rosenthal. They feature a whimsical form and gorgeous colors. The design is by Arthur Klingler and they date to the 1940s or 1950s. Each is signed with a dark green crown mark that reads Rosenthal, Germany, Kunstabteilung Selb, and a faint impressed number 2148 (this green mark was in use from about 1934-1956). Four of the five have a Klingler facsimile signature as well. It's a really strong modernist design from a quality maker, have some fun and bid! Condition : The condition is good vintage. They show age appropriate handling and storage wear. The colors are luscious and the surfaces are glossy. There are no chips or cracks. They have scattered scuffs, scratches, and rubbing but nothing objectionable. Photos 10, 11, and 12 show examples of the wear. They present well and are suitable for use or display. The pictures are the best indicator as to condition, please use the zoom feature and check them out. Dimensions : They're about 3-5/8" long by 2-3/4" wde and 5/8" deep .
